Our trip with our Italian friends began with a journey to the Eastern Transvaal. Stopping a Dulstroom for a trout breakfast,
we headed on up to Hoedspruit and the Balule Game Farm.
Late night discussions of all things historical and modelling were accompanied by good volumes of wine and a traditional
"Braai" - introducing our Senese friends to barbecued beef, ostrich and game.
A trip into the Kruger Park brought us a view of the rare African wild dog. A visit to the Timbavati was rewarded by
close up viewing of some lions. (Unfortunately not caught on film by the excited tourists!)

Rare view of African wild dogs. These shy and rare animals are hardly ever seen by tourists. |
